Appeal to find Good Samaritan in Kettering |
||
Police officers are appealing for a member of the public who intervened to stop an assault in Kettering town centre on Tuesday, September 2, to get in touch.
Between midday and 12.30pm, a man approached a woman and her children as they walked on a footpath behind St Peter & and St Paul Church, putting them in fear for their safety.
A female member of the public stepped in to prevent the incident escalating and officers are appealing for her to contact them as a matter of urgency to assist with their investigation.
In addition to tracing the member of the public, officers would also like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, which involved a white man with braided dreadlocks. He was wearing a blue hat, grey tracksuit and white trainers.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
Information can also be submitted online at www.northants.police.uk/RO and crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information.
